Who keeps breeding these COWARDS???

People who attack innocent, unsuspecting, vulnerable people are not terrorists. They are just murderous cowards, and should be referred to as such.

And when these cowards are finally caught, they demand more rights, than any of the victims received.

I say, do not give them any more rights than with their cowardly acts, they gave their victims. And then, let the punishment fit the crime. That seems to be the only thing that these cowards understand.

FIFTEEN CRITICAL AFTER BOSTON ATTACK

At least three people are dead and more than a hundred injured, after two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

The two bombs that exploded in the crowded streets near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, have killed at least three people and injured more than 130 in a bloody scene of shattered glass and severed limbs, raising alarms terrorists might have struck again in the US.

A White House official speaking on condition of anonymity because the investigation was still unfolding said the attack was being treated as an act of terrorism.

President Barack Obama vowed that those responsible will “feel the full weight of justice.”

As many as two unexploded bombs were also found near the end of the 42-kilometre course as part of what appeared to be a well-coordinated attack, but they were safely disarmed, according to a senior US intelligence official, who also spoke on condition of anonymity because of the continuing investigation.

The fiery twin blasts took place almost simultaneously and about 100 metres apart, knocking spectators and at least one runner off their feet, shattering windows and sending dense plumes of smoke rising over the street and through the fluttering national flags lining the course.

When the second bomb went off, the spectators’ cheers turned to screams. As sirens blared, emergency workers and National Guardsmen assigned to the race for crowd control began climbing over and tearing down temporary fences to get to the blast site.

A pool of blood formed, and huge shards were missing from window panes as high as three stories.

“They just started bringing people in with no limbs,” said runner Tim Davey, of Virginia. He said he and his wife, Lisa, tried to keep their children’s eyes shielded from the gruesome scene inside a medical tent that had been set up to care for fatigued runners, but “they saw a lot.”

Boston police said three people were killed. Hospitals reported at least 134 injured, at least 15 of them critically. The injuries ranged from cuts and bruises to amputations. Many victims suffered lower leg injuries and shrapnel wounds. Some suffered ruptured eardrums.

Reports continue to come in of the horrific injuries doctors are dealing with in the aftermath of the bombings.

One Boston doctor said many victims were wounded with ball bearings, meaning bombs were designed for maximum damage.

A doctor from Brigham and Women’s Hospital has also addressed the media.

He says the 31 blast patients at the hospital have been tested for any traces of biological residue from the blast but he says they have found none.

“It’s routine to make sure that patients are not contaminated. The contaminant [that we are looking] for in this instance is radiation,” he said.

“We have not had any deaths here. We are not anticipating any deaths, but in this first 24-hour period there is some instability.

“These are blast-type injuries, very high force, they cause a lot of damage to tissue and to bone.”

Some 23,000 runners took part in the race, one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious marathons, which attracts more than 500,000 spectators and winds up in the heart of central Boston, near the landmark Prudential Center and the Boston Public Library. It is held on Patriots Day, a Massachusetts state holiday which commemorates the first battles of the American Revolution in 1775.

Obama Vows to Find Who’s Behind Boston Blasts

The Federal Aviation Administration barred low-flying aircraft from within 5.6 kilometres of the site.

Obama was briefed on the explosions by Homeland Security adviser Lisa Monaco. Obama also told Boston Mayor Tom Menino and Governor Deval Patrick that his administration would provide whatever support was needed, the White House said.

“We still don’t know who did this or why,” Obama said, adding, “Make no mistake: We will get to the bottom of this.”

The Federal Aviation Administration created a no-fly zone over the site of the explosions, and briefly ordered flights bound for Boston’s Logan International Airport held on the ground at airports around the US

A few kilometres away from the finish line and around the same time, a fire broke out at the John F. Kennedy presidential library. The police commissioner said it may have been caused by an incendiary device but didn’t appear to be related to the bombings.

A man comforts a victim on the sidewalk at the scene of the first explosion.

The first loud explosion occurred on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the photo bridge that marks the finish line. The second explosion could be heard a few seconds later.

They occurred about four hours into the race and two hours after the men’s winner crossed the line. By that point, more than 17,000 of the runners had finished the race, but thousands of others were farther back along the course.

A senior US intelligence official said the two other explosive devices found nearby were being dismantled. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to discuss the findings publicly.

Australian athletes describe Boston horror

Australian athletes Kurt Fearnley and Jeff Hunt were at the Boston Marathon when the bombs detonated. They describe the scene on the ground.
Australian athletes reveal bomb horror

It is described as the Holy Grail of marathons, and for many of the 153 Australians lining up with the more than 24,000 other runners for Boston’s great race, it was a dream come true.

Just hours later, at the finish line where they expected to raise their hands in triumph, two bombs believed to be loaded with ball-bearings ripped through the crowd, killing three people – including an eight-year-old boy – and maiming more than 120 others.

It should have been a wonderful day for Australia.

Australia’s number one ranked marathoner Jeff Hunt finished eighth in the men’s race, another Aussie, Lee Troop came 15th, while Paralympians Kurt Fearnley and Christie Dawes came fifth in their respective wheelchair races.

Marathon man Robert de Castella, Olympic marathoner Benita Willis and triathlete champion Greg Welch were among the big name Australians in Boston for what is America’s oldest and most prestigious marathon.

Also in the pack were other familiar names, including Gill Stapleton, head of Special Olympics Australia, and Helen Carmody, principal of exclusive Victorian girls’ private school, Toorak College.

“The Boston Marathon is truly the Holy Grail of marathons,” Ms Stapleton, who was running alongside Ms Carmody just 700 metres from the finish line, told AAP.

“Helen was on track to do a personal best and I was doing my sixth marathon in five years.

“It was a big moment for us, but then runners started stopping and we didn’t know what was going on.”

Word soon filtered through about the carnage ahead.

Elsewhere, many of the Australian contingent were physically rocked by the blast.

Hunt had finished the course and was back in his hotel room, de Castella was in the race’s media centre when he was jolted while Fearnley was at a nearby restaurant.

He immediately sent out a Tweet.

“Couple of freaky explosions from the marathon finishing line,” Fearnley wrote.

Later, when he discovered the cause and destruction left on the street, Fearnley said he was “sickened”.

Despite the destruction and the number of Australian runners and spectators, it appears no Australians were injured, with Australian consulate staff checking hospitals to ensure this was the case.

There were initial fears for Emma Cameron, a member of de Castella’s Indigenous Marathon Project, when she could not be located on the course, but de Castella, who won the race in 1986 relieved the fears when he later announced she was safe.

Social media, often criticised, again proved itself in the confusing hours after the explosions, with the Australians able to communicate with each other via Twitter and Facebook to ensure they were safe.

With reports of other unexploded devices found around the city and police searching for a rental van, possibly loaded with explosives, that attempted to enter the race course, Boston was on lockdown.

Ms Stapleton described it as “a city in chaos” while Hunt summed up the feeling among the Aussies.
“This is a despicable thing to have been done on such a glorious day,” he said.

To those of you upset with Gillard’s education reshuffle. Read this!

This is a post from a friend of mine, today:

Well, our PM is at it again,I have no objection to money being put into education, not at the expensive of this country going into further debt, and robbing from one area to go into another……..We have a mad woman at the helm!
Might I add this is an amount of $14 billion!!!! please!
———————————————————————————————————–
I am confused by this post, from my friend, as it has no impact at all on our surplus, or deficit. But it certainly has an impact on where education dollars are being spent!

There is actually a net INCREASE in spending on education under the Gillard Government, if this program is accepted! So I am further puzzled by my friend’s comment.

I believe any government has three primary responsibilities, that override anything else:
1. To ensure its citizens are healthy
2. To ensure its citizens are educated
3. To ensure its citizens are protected from threats, from overseas, or from our within out own shores.

What the Gillard government is doing, and has already spent billions of dollars on, is ensuring our citizens are educated.

Australia ranks only very low, on the scale of literacy in developed countries. And this is because Primary School teachers are not up to world standards.

So, to me, it makes perfect sense, to shift taxpayer funds from the University sector, to which increasingly fewer people, have the grades to undertake studies, to the area where the initial problems are created. In the Primary education sector.

Universities, are irrelevant, if people cannot read or write.

Below is a report from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, which I believe show a very disturbing, and low level of literacy in our country.

This is a tender topic for me, as once, whilst I was in a senior position, (Secretary) of a statutory authority, I met one of the factory workers of the authority, in a social scene. Very late in the evening, one of the workers confided to me, he could not read or write. This was a shock of unbelievable proportions to me, as I simply did not believe, in that day and age, that there were, in Australia, people like that.

This person, despite his intelligence, would not be eligible to pursue an University course of study!
And the statistics below, show that over half the population, may be in that category.

So I believe with all my heart, that Gillard is doing the right thing, with this redirection of funds.

And this is against the trend, where every Liberal elected government over the last five years has resulted in cuts of billions of dollars from essential services. And to think this will not continue to happen under Tony Abbott is the absolute height of stupidity!

I have nothing but contempt for people who cling to outmoded loyalties to one political party or another. This is an indication of closed minds, and Australia does not need people like this to determine its future.

People like this, are, and always have been, anathema, to progress.

ABS (Australian Bureau of Statistics) Director of the National Centre for Education and Training Statistics, Andrew Webster, said the recent PIAAC survey assessed people’s literacy and numeracy skills and their ability to solve problems in technology-rich environments.
“The survey measures participants on a scale of one to five, one being the lowest and five being the highest,” he said.

“The survey found that 44 per cent of Australians aged 15 to 74 (7.3 million) had literacy skills at levels one or two, a further 39 per cent (6.4 million) at level three and 17 per cent (2.7 million) at levels four or five.

“For numeracy skills, 55 per cent of Australians (8.9 million) were assessed at level one or two, 32 per cent (5.3 million) at level three and 13 per cent (2.1 million) at levels four or five.

The only true God is Nature!

Why then, did God create the Devil? Why then did God create Hell?

Why then did God create all of those sins, that Moses, subsequently felt, needed to be denied?  And even then, written down in those Tablets, as he came down from the mount?

Those tablets that said ‘You shall not… etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc..

Directives, that have never been effective… as all of the sins condemned in the 10 Commandments are all, not only alive and well, in today’s society, but thriving!!!

I continue to be baffled, by the fact, that there are still, in this day and age, so many humans that continue, even in this day and age, to worship any, and all, religions, in which, a supposed God, or representative of any such God, takes the form of an alleged representative of a God.

I must confess, I am completely mystified by this primitive fixation, which, in effect, is no less than the religion of the Cargo Cult, established in New Guinea so many decades ago.

Personally, I will, or would, never, criticise any person for following their beliefs, unless they try to impose on me, their religion, and/or their beliefs, by whatever means they thought necessary, even if I had listened to them, and decided, that is not what I wanted.

But I am biased! I freely admit that!

My God is Nature. My God is the Universe. My God is nature of the seasons. My God is the beautiful rebirth of life in Spring! My God is the heat of summer! My God is the cool of Autumn! My God is the cold of Winter! My God is the forces of nature that dwarf anything man can do! My God is the natural order of things!

My God would never accept a human being as the ultimate head of any religion.

Because natural existence can never be controlled by anything made by, or controlled by, mankind,…, And only fools and idiots would think differently,…,

Let them hang!

Well done Kuwait!

If there is absolutely no doubt that these people committed the crimes they were hung for, then this action was the right thing to do. And there is now no chance, of these criminals being released on parole, to repeat their crimes.

I do not care in the slightest, if any readers should brand me an inhuman, or barbaric individual.

I am sick and tired of our stuffed justice system handing out, slap on the wrist penalties, for serious crimes. And where the perpetrator of the crime has more legal rights than the victim! The evidence is here for all to see, that the existing system does nothing to reduce crime.

So dear readers, I state my position clearly, and without ambiguity.

Let the punishment, fit the crime!

You don’t agree! Tell someone who cares! 🙂

Execution pictures reveal desperation

STAFF REPORTER, The West AustralianApril 2, 2013, 7:01 am

Three men have been hanged in a Kuwait car park – the Gulf Arab country’s first execution in six years.

Kuwait authorities executed three convicted murderers, one of whom puffed desperately on a cigarette as he was led onto the scaffolding, reports the Daily Mail.

The three, a Pakistani, a Saudi and a stateless man, were hooded and bound before being hung from gallows in a car park outside the Central Prison.

Official pictures showed the blindfolded men with hands bound being led up a short flight of stairs. Nooses are placed around their necks before a trapdoor opens beneath their feet.

The Daily Mail reports that an executioner, his hand still on the handle that operates the trap door through which the prisoner falls to his death, looks down with a colleague at the lifeless body.

A doctor then examine the executed men, checking their hearts, to confirm the sentence was complete.

State news agency KUNA said the men were found guilty in three separate murder cases. Authorities had invited journalists from Kuwaiti publications to witness the executions.

Kuwait, which has a population of about 3.5 million, operates a judicial system which is a mixture of Islamic Sharia law, English common law, and the Ottoman civil code. The state carried out 72 executions (69 men and three women) between 1964 and 2007.

Crimes that carry the death sentence include drug trafficking, murder and treason. Sentences are not carried out publically however members of the media act as witnesses and pictures are published in the hope it will act as a deterrent. KUNA say 48 people remain on death row in Kuwait.

Amnesty International have condemned the executions. Middle East and North Africa Deputy Director Ann Harrison told thinktank Ekklesia: “These are the first executions carried out in Kuwait since 2007 and mark a deplorable setback for human rights in the country.”

My Opinion of Aussie Soldiers in Arab & Persian Countries.

My personal belief is, that once Saddam Hussein and his sadistic family were removed from Iraq, and once Osama Bin Dead Bin Laden was assassinated, all western countries personnel, private and/or military, should have left those Arab lands.

History has shown, and demonstrated many times over, that the rabble that make up those Arab countries, because they are born stupid, will never make peace with each other, be it from a tribal, national, geographic,  or religious point of view.

For westerners to be involved in these primitive conflicts, is a waste of energy, resources, and unnecessary loss of lives. There is no gain to the western world to be involved in the conflicts of these primitive peoples.

Oil, I hear some people cry!

History has shown, that the most urgent technical advances have always been made in times of war, or when people have been internationally threatened.

We are at war now!

We are dependent on the finite fossil fuel reserves of oil, and their control by primitive cultures, and so being held to ransom. And so reason to go to war, because supplies of these dwindling resources are being rationed.

What happens 50 years from now, when all the oil is gone? Who will give a fuck about these primitive Arabs. And no-one will go to war when a tyrant continues to oppress people who basically lack the courage to stand up for their own rights.

Aussie soldiers, get out of these God-forsaken countries, before any more of you die, fighting battles that should not, and can not, be won!

Ignorant, and uneducated people can be taught. But ignorance and a lack of education, in themselves, should never be confused with stupidity.

And there is no bigger waste of time, ever, anywhere, than trying to educate stupid people. And it seems to me, that most of Islam’s believers fall into the stupid category.

And what a shame this is, as, before Islam, the Arab world gave the world so many great discoveries, and provided so much knowledge, much of which is still current and used, in today’s world.

But, sadly, stupid people simply cannot be educated! And that is not their fault. They were born that way, and nothing anyone can do, can ever change that.

And it seems to me, apart from a few, actually quite a few, notable exceptions, that most of Islam’s believers fall into the stupid category.

Let the Shits and the Suns wipe each other out. Who cares? It is after all, only a battle about who is stupider than the other.
